Amanda is the Director of Van Ameyde Seasia Pte Ltd. She is a Swedish law graduate from the University of Gothenburg. Amanda was the Legal Counsel and a Member of the Board at a Marine Surveying and Loss Adjusting Company based in Sweden and was also the Manager of the company’s P&I Club Correspondent subsidiary. Amanda also worked as a Claims Consultant for a Marine Insurance Broker and a P&I Club at this time. Amanda subsequently joined a London based claims consultancy company, handling complex claims, general average and salvage cases. Amanda then relocated to Singapore to become the General Manager of the Singapore branch office. Amanda has broad experience dealing with marine insurance matters (including P&I, hull, cargo and transport liability) as well as more generally with both contentious and non-contentious contractual and commercial matters.
Natalia joined in 2014. She handles a wide range of P&I and H&M matters. Prior to joining the firm Natalia worked for marine insurers in both Moscow and Singapore. She has recently accomplished a Masters in Maritime Studies in Nanyang Technology University, Singapore. Being of Russian origin she is bilingual in English and Russian.
Yan has been involved in marine claims administration for a number of years and forms an integral part of the Claims Management, Survey Coordination and P&I Correspondent Team. She has qualifications in Business Management, Shipping & Marine Offshore and Legal Executive Studies. Yan is of Malay decent and speaks English, Bahasa, Mandarin and other dialects.
Walter is a Director and Principal Surveyor at Van Ameyde Seasia Pte Ltd. Walter and his team are responsible for the technical quality assurance of the Seasia network. In 1990 Walter Dekkers joined Van Ameyde Marine as a Marine Surveyor. As from September 2006 Walter has been Managing Director of Van Ameyde Marine. Walter holds his Chief Engineer’s licence and has 7 years of sea-going experience. During his time at sea he sailed on a variety of vessels including heavy lift vessels. Walter is specialized in bunker quality disputes and related investigations on engine damage and on board fuel management. His work also involves all types of technical and cargo surveys, but he also carries out P&I entry and condition surveys, pre-purchase surveys and risk management inspections. Walter is trained as an ISM Lead Auditor, he is an approved 360 Quality Inspector and he completed the Cambridge Reefer Course. Furthermore, he took various tanker courses. He is a member of IBIA, registered as surveyor for the Dutch Institute of Registered Surveyors (NIVRE-re), an associate fellow of the Nautical Institute, a registered UNUM arbiter and is registered as judicial expert at the LRGD. Walter has handled several large casualties, including court cases, and has acted as an expert witness.
Hans Langsrud is Principal Surveyor at Van Ameyde Seasia (China) Limited. He is a Master Mariner based in Hong Kong. During his 30-year career in the Marine industry, he has been employed in a variety of roles including 9 years at sea on a range of ship types, serving up to the rank of Chief Officer, before coming ashore to take on the role of technical adviser to an Oil Major. Thereafter, he was a Senior Risk Management Executive for a leading P&I Club before moving into the field of marine surveying and consultancy in 2014. Mr Langsrud was with Andrew Moore & Associates Hong Kong and Brookes Bell Hong before starting up HOL Maritime Services Hong Kong in 2016.

Armed with an LLB and an LLM from London, Ora has vast experience in dealing with all types of marine and transport claims, drafting of vast array of maritime related contracts (such as agency agreements, shipbuilding, depot, terminal etc.), corporate aspects involved in shipowning, freight forwarding, advice on insurance and chartering in respect to sale and purchase including negotiations and drafting of sale terms and/or charterparty fixtures. Prior to joining the group, Ora started her career in the maritime industry pursuing cargo/marine recovery claims against carriers / shipowners / freight forwarders on behalf of subrogated underwriters before moving on to join a reputable shipowning company wherein she was their head of the Legal & Claims Department.
Tatsaporn has a LLB from Thammasat University in Thailand. She handles the full range of marine insurance and legal claims, specialising in cargo and Admiralty claims. She also advises on logistics and freight forwarding matters. Prior to joining the group Tatsaporn was a senior officer for an international insurance company and also worked as a claims executive for a major Asian container liner.
Jenny has Diplomas in Shipping Management, Business Administration and Law and has recently obtained a LLB (UK). She handles the full range of H&M and P&I claims with a particular focus on cargo claims, charterparty disputes and personal injury defence. She also advises on ship sale and purchase matters. Prior to joining the group Jenny worked as an operations analyst for an international shipping group before joining a leading Asian container liner as a claims executive. She also spent time in the insurance department of a Singapore headquartered ship manager. Jenny speaks English, Chinese and Hokkien.
Alex has over 25 years experience in the maritime industry with significant expertise in P&I and H&M matters. She gained extensive experience in marine cargo claims and P&I related matters initially with Lloyd’s of London and later with the Norwegian P&I Club, Gard. She moved “down under” in 1997 has has significant experience in handling all types of marine matters throughout Australia including, Carriage of Goods by Sea, General Average, Pollution, ITF disputes, Stowaways and serious Crew Injuries.
A UK qualified Fellow of the Association of Average Adjusters with extensive insurance management, marine and claims background.
Claims General Manager or Director of international insurance companies in Asia and Australasia with a focus on marine hull, cargo (including DSU / ALOP) and liability claims.
